Bio

Felix Carroll has twice been named Writer of the Year by the New York Press Association. He's won Best Feature Writing and Best Environmental Writing awards by the National Newspaper Association and New York Press Association; and Best Enterprise Writing by the New England Press Association.

His work has appeared in the Boston Globe, Berkshire Eagle, Cape Cod Times, Albany Times-Union, Berkshire Magazine, Houston Chronicle, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, Dallas Morning News, and Chicago Sun-Times. 

He worked as a circus drummer and elephant caretaker for the Culpepper-Meriweather Circus, Great American Circus and Hanneford Family Circus. He's a columnist for various newspapers. 

He lives in western Massachusetts.
